Archos 605 Wifi Custom Firmware 3ds

Jan 28, 2008 - I finally got myself a decent mp3 player (Archos 605 WIFI) and decided it was time to tame my 130gb mp3 collection. Even with a decent bit of. Archos ARCHOS 605 Firmware Download and Update for Windows. Open Drivers. Custom Search Opendrivers-> MP3/MP4 Player-> Archos MP3/MP4 Player-> ARCHOS 605. Driver Category. 17 Archos 605 WiFi Firmware v1.3.08. File Name: firmware_a605_1308.aos. Version: v1.3.08. File Size: 40.89 Mb.

Hey all, There was a post from a while back in the General Discussion thread dealing with the Archos 605 Wifi and porting RockBox to it. The problem back then was that it was closed.but NOW THE ARCHOS HAS BEEN HACKED and the bootloader can be bypassed (on 1.7.13 firmwares). You can check it out at forum.archosfans.com in the Hacking forum. THe creator of this hack, archilles, has promised to also create hacks to free up all archos units by this christmas. To sum it up. Who has an archos 605 Wifi who wants to help make a RockBox port for it? I will help in any way possible!

(Sorry I didn't.it was really late:-P) This is the actual hack (look at Post 1 for the Download Link) This is the thread where Archilles mentions how he will be releasing more hacks later on. For the hack, Archilles mentioned that he would like a custom linux distro for the Archos, and as soon as he said custom I thought.ROCKBOX! So is it possible? Anyone want to help?

*If it makes it an less 'iffy', i applied the hack in the Moldy Cheese Thread (first link i gave you) to my OWN Archos 605 Wifi 30GB model, and it worked like a charm! This has potential.* *Also, on a side note, if you have the Archos Flash or 160 GB Models, do not use the hack (Archilles mentions this, im just restating) because it will fail and give you a brick. It does work for any Archos 605 WiFi with a HDD smaller than 160 GB though.*.

I use Advanced MP3 Catalog Pro, as suggested by someone on irc a while back. It's not fully automated, but I wouldn't want it to be.

Kutty movies in 2007 download. The automated ones I've tried would grab the wrong album info. I stick all my incoming (newly downloaded) albums in a folder called incoming (subfolder for each album), then use AMCP to scan the album folders. It'll show a list of possible matches from FreeDB and Amazon.

I select the correct album and click Apply and it fills in all the ID3 info on the mp3. It also has rename functions, which is nice for the albums that you download that have retarded filenames like '01_-_album.name_-_album.artist_-_song.name.here.[2007][blahblah].mp3'.
